Upstate Business Journal honored Progressive Packaging, Inc. through their Company Spotlight article and we couldn't be more proud to be sponsored.

Over the years, we have seen how far our company has come, and we're glad our hard work has paid off. Rooted in faith and family, Russ and Kim Crowe began this business back in 1995 with the help of their parents. As Progressive has grown, so have company positions, as Kim has 55% ownership. This was the key to achieving certification from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council to hopefully attract those large, international companies that choose to do business with woman-owned manufacturers. As most companies, the Crowe's feared the future of their company when the economy crashed, but with more faith and hope, the company began thriving again, adding newer jobs and newer facilities. Progressive Packaging hosted the Hampton County Chamber after hours drop-in for the month of May and announced an expansion to its' facility that will increase warehousing capabilities as well as adding manufacturing jobs to that area of the state. The intent is to follow the footprint of what has been done in Simpsonville and begin manufacturing corrugated items as well as assembly and fulfillment for that area of our customer base.

Named 2015 Economic Ambassadors for Hampton County

Kim and Russ Crowe attended a celebration at the Governor's Mansion Complex on April 2nd where they were honored by Governor Nikki Haley, Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt, and the S.C. Department of Commerce itself and were named Hampton County's 2015 Economic Ambassadors!

The South Carolina Department of Commerce partners each year with local communities from all 46 counties to show their appreciation to businesses for their contributions to local economies as a part of Industry Appreciation Week. Kim and Russ were nominated by Hampton County's own economic development organization, and they are deeply honored to be this year's choice!

Progressive Packaging, Inc. opened our Hampton County distribution center in 2014, and our immediate commitment to supporting local businesses and bringing new, solid jobs into the community brought Kim and Russ to the attention of local governments and the Chamber of Commerce. We love our Early Branch location, and look forward to expanding to include light assembly and manufacturing, bringing even more jobs to the area in the future. Hampton County's success is our success, and we are glad to put down roots here to help raise it up!

We are proud to announce that Progressive met the requirements to become certified with the American Institute of Baking!

AIB International provides food safety audits, inspection, certification, and educational seminars to the food manufacturing and distribution industry, as well as suppliers that include finished foods ad beverages products, ingredients, fresh produce, packaging production, and distribution facilities. During an AIB inspection, a business's methods and practices, maintenance, cleaning, pest management, and daily management are especially checked over when an inspection is conducted.

Progressive Packaging has celebrated a wonderful 20 years of business so far, and being AIB certified just makes us stand out among the rest even more.

Progressive Packaging Founder and President Named Hampton County Ambassador For Economic Development

Our new warehouse and distribution center in Early Branch came with a commitment to bring jobs, and economic development, into the Lowcountry. Due to our President Russ Crowe’s immediate interest in and commitment to Hampton County, where Early Branch is located, he’s been named the Ambassador for Economic Development for Hampton County!

This award is prestigious, but is doubly exciting as Mr. Crowe was nominated by Hampton County’s own economic development organization. Mr. Crowe will attend a special recognition ceremony and reception in Columbia as part of this honor. Governor Nikki Haley will make remarks and present the awards themselves in the Governor’s Mansion Complex on Thursday, April 2nd in the afternoon.

We here at Progressive Packaging have been excited to work with Hampton County, and are thrilled to see Mr. Crowe receive this honor thanks to their nomination!
